General conditions and rent conditions;

Sunday is switch day. The house that you rent is available as from 16h00 till 19h00 on the day that the rent period starts and needs to be abandoned on the last day of the rent period before 10h00. During the high season, the minimum rent period is 1 week. During the period November until March, the house is for rent per month also.

When you make a reservation, we will give you our account number. Within 10 days after our confirmation of your reservation, the advance of 500euros has to be deposit. The rest of the amount needs to be paid latest 8 weeks before the start of the rent period. If you make a reservation in the short therm (within 8 weeks before the start of your holiday), the full amount needs to be paid immediately. In case the payment(s) is/are not done on time, we will consider your reservation as cancelled.

The deposit of our house is 700euros, which has to be handed over (cash, in euros!) on the first day of your holiday to our contact person. From this amount, the obligatory final house cleaning (90euros) the 'taxes de séjours' (1,40€ per day per person) and the rent of the linen (20euros/bedroom) will be deducted. The tenant must not throw or flush items or products into washbasins, bathtub and/or shower and toilet that can block the drain pipes. If this happens, the tenant will pay the plumber's costs. Due to the fact that natural stone is used in the living rooms and showers, it is strictly forbidden to use cleaning products. When leaving the domain, it is of the utmost importance to lock the house, at all times. If you have not caused damage, nothing is missing and/or there are no other costs, the outstanding amount will be returned to you one week after your holiday on your account number.

We kindly ask you to inform us or our contact person directly and at all times of any damage caused by yourself.

The cancellation must be confirmed by telephone to us. The tenant will lose the advance that has been paid until 8 weeks before the start of the rent period. Between 8 and 4 weeks, the tenant will lose half of the other paid amount. In case of later cancellation, the full rent will be confiscated.

The holiday cottage can accommodate MAXIMUM 6/8 persons. When making your reservation, the number of persons that will stay in the house has to be communicated. Temporary or permanent residence of more persons than officially allowed can cause the immediate breaking of the tenancy agreement. Please note that adding a tent, camper and/or caravan is not allowed. The tenant cannot deny access to the handyman responsible for the maintenance of the rented house. During the holiday, the tenant needs to respect the local police regulations, meaning avoiding night noise (between 22h00 and 06h00).

The owners of the house live on the same area (next to), but they have another entrance. We respect your privacy!

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed.

Observing one or more violations of (one of) the above rules can cause breaking of the tenancy agreement or penalties.  

Eiderdowns, blankets and pillows are at your disposal. You have to rent sheets and pillowcases at 20euros per bedroom. If you want a child's bed or baby chair, please inform us when making the reservation.

On the first floor, there are 3 bedrooms with AIRCONDITIONING. They all have 2 box-springs of 90x200 cm, 1 bedroom has a lounge area with the view on the mountain. 3 bedrooms look into the village and front garden. 2 bedrooms have a shower, washbasin and toilet. The other bedroom can use the big bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet in the corridor. On the ground floor, there is a living room, a big open kitchen, a small kitchen and a staircase. Reception of TV-VLAANDEREN is available, as well as a DVD player and WIFI. Outside, sunshades, deck chairs, a barbecue and terrace furniture is available.

The kitchen is brand new and equipped with;

ceramic hot plate, oven, microwave, coffee-maker, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge and freezer, service and cutlery.

Smoking inside is not allowed!

The final house cleaning is obligatory done by us. This means that you have to abandon the house tidied up and "broom clean". All belongings of the house need to be put back on its original place. No dishes are left and rubbish and glass are taken away. In case this is not done, extra cleaning is necessary. This will be charged on top of the house cleaning. The normal costs of the house cleaning (90euros) are deducted from your deposit.
